Vedic astrology reads the position of the planets at the moment of a person’s birth and interprets what that chart suggests about temperament, timing and the periods ahead. It is one of the older continuous traditions in Indian practice, and it has followed Indian families to the Gulf.

RK Babbar offers Vedic astrology consultation for clients in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern emirates, conducted online. He has 25 years of practice across astrology and Vastu Shastra.

Indian astrology for families in Dubai and the UAE

Most clients approaching this service are Indian families settled in the Emirates — in Bur Dubai, Karama and Deira, in Jumeirah and the Marina, and across Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. What they usually want is not a general horoscope but a reading grounded in the same Vedic system their family has used in India: the same chart, the same dasha periods, the same terminology.

That is the tradition RK Babbar works in. Charts are prepared on the Vedic (sidereal) system rather than the Western tropical one, and the reading is given in the vocabulary a client raised with jyotish will already recognise. Consultations are held in Hindi, Punjabi or English.

What a consultation covers

A consultation begins with the birth chart — the lagna kundali. The lagna, or ascendant, sets the first house and the framework the rest of the chart is read against, which is why the birth time matters as much as the date.

From there a reading typically looks at:

  • The birth chart and its house placements
  • Current and forthcoming dasha periods, and what the tradition associates with them
  • Questions the client brings — work, study, a move abroad, family matters
  • Traditional remedial measures, where the practice suggests them

Readings describe what the tradition holds and what the chart indicates. They are guidance, not prediction of fixed events, and they sit alongside — not in place of — professional advice on medical, legal or financial matters.

What is needed to prepare a chart

Three details: date of birth, time of birth and place of birth. These are used only to calculate and read the chart. They are not shared with anyone or used for any other purpose, and they can be deleted on request by email.

Where the birth time is uncertain or unrecorded — common enough — the chart can still be worked with, though some readings depend on it more than others. RK Babbar will say which parts of a reading are limited by missing information rather than working around the gap silently.

RK Babbar’s background

RK Babbar is certified by the All India Federation of Astrologers’ Societies (AIFAS), New Delhi, and holds the Jyotish Ratna and Jyotish Bhushan qualifications from that body. He holds a degree from Delhi University and has 25 years of practice in Vedic astrology and Vastu Shastra.

Consultation fees

Consultations start from AED 100 for a one-hour session. Longer or multi-chart work — matching two charts, or a detailed year-ahead reading — is quoted by scope, with the figure confirmed in writing before the session. There are no additional or undisclosed charges afterwards.

Serving clients across the Emirates

Consultations are conducted online by video call, so location within the UAE — or outside it — does not restrict availability. This suits clients coordinating a reading across time zones with family still in India.

Related guidance

Questions about moving abroad, or about a home in one country while the family is in another, often come up alongside a chart reading. Separate guidance is available on abroad settlement Vastu and Vastu for NRI homes abroad. For questions concerning marriage and family life, see relationship Vastu consultation.

If you are looking for Vastu rather than astrology

Vastu Shastra is a separate service working from a property’s floor plan and orientation rather than from a birth chart. If a home or office review is what you need, see Vastu consultation for Dubai and the UAE, or Vastu for Dubai apartments and villas for the specific layouts common in the Emirates. A full list of services is on the services page, and past writing on astrology is collected in the astrology articles.

Arranging a consultation

To ask a question or check availability, message RK Babbar on WhatsApp or book a consultation. If you would like a chart prepared beforehand, he will ask for your birth details at that point.

Astrology and Vaastu are belief-based practices and are provided for guidance purposes only. Results may vary from person to person and should not replace professional, legal, or medical advice.
